I have always been ambivalent about Naipaul (VS). Having said that though, I love his book called Islamic Journeys – Amongst the believers – it’s a classic. Its fascinating, riveting and at the same time subtly philosophical.
I just hunted it out again. Am going to re-read it soon enough.
