When the youth collides with the old, usually age loses. The temerity of youth with their money, trappings and (supposedly) better tuning to the (current) ways of the world, gives them a competitive advantage.
Its an unfair battle, and as I said, usually the young swashbuck their way to a win.
Its only when I become cognizant, that someday, I am going to be on the other side (the loser’s edge)….thats when the poignancy of the whole bloody situation strikes me, as a self fulfilling death knell.
