I was talking to someone a few days ago, who was constantly referring to someone as his “rakhi sister”. I grinned and asked him “What does that mean?”
He said, “I have a “real” sister as well”.
Hmmm….
So everytime this person walks around talking about his two worlds….he distinguishes them as “rakhi” versus “real”. Will the two twangs ever meet? Your guess is as good as mine.
Me…I have two “thicker than water” sister(s) and they are absolutely wholly mine. Period. Biology, or the lack of blood, may bloody(again!! almost tautology!!) well be damned :-)
My blood has never been my most reliably ally anyways :-) (Those who know me well, will have a good laugh at the sinister poetic dig there !!)
